Local 618

SPECIAL EDITION

A: How many times have we discussed the fact that the selection of clothing for boys is pathetic?!

J: Umm…too many times to count! With Lynnden (my daughter), it’s like…oh my gosh, stop shopping! But, the selection for Levi…ugh!

A: Exactly. So when a mutual friend connected me with Kelly (co-founder of Local 618, a unique on-line clothing shop for boys), I was super excited!

J: Wow!!  We sure know some crazy talented people!  Speaking of such, a HUGE thank you to our friend Rachel of Rachel Holden Photography and Jacob Mitchell for taking such Ah-mazing pics!!

A: High five to that Jenn!

J:  I am so pumped that there are FINALLY some awesome clothes for Levi!!!  Now he can be dressed in something memorable. That way if I ever lose him, I won’t have the same problem Joey and Chandler did when they lost Ben!!  Ducks or clowns???

A: Hahaha…that’s one of my favorite episodes! Seriously though, we know all of the boy moms out there can relate! Local 618 is like a great party where beach enthusiasts, skaters, prepsters and t-shirt wearers all come together in their best threads!

J: YES, it’s such a great mix! And it was so cool to show our boys this website and see them actually become interested in something other than Under Armour or sneakers!

A: I could not agree more! Griffin is raving over their zip-up hoodie and t-shirts…he can’t get over how soft and comfortable they are. And, when Levi put the button down on with his new jeans, it was obvious how great he felt. It melted my heart. He even had Clint (Jenn’s hubby) text me a picture of him wearing his new threads at the airport…so cute!

Levi rocking his new button-up…could he BE any happier?!

Griffin is anything but crabby in this super soft tee!

?: Rachel Holden
“I am going to live in this zip-up,” said Griffin after this shot!

?: Rachel Holden

A: I also dig that WE can wear these clothes! Lol, you and Levi can literally share right now!

J: Yep! Or at least for a few more weeks, Lol!!! However, he did ask that I not tell people: 1) we are the same size and 2) that we share clothes! Ha!  Oh, and does this fact factor into your “must be able to wear an item 3 different ways rule”?  Just asking so I have further reasoning to justify all of my shopping to Clint!

A: It absolutely does and oops…sorry Turtle Bug! ?

J: No, worries…how could he EVER be upset with Aunt ‘Turtlebug’ (he LOVES his nickname you gave him!)

?: Jacob Mitchell
This button-up quickly dresses up a pair of jeans or khaki shorts…

…or adds some edge to a soft suede skirt ?

J: What does G think of that special addition hat made just for your area code…217?!

?: Rachel Holden

A: He thinks it’s so cool to be the “only” kid with this hat…for now at least, Lol!

J: Their accessories really are so cool and unique! My hat is perfect for a bad hair day and for a fun pop of color, too! Did the grasshopper get that right?!  And Levi loves him some camouflage…I think he considers his shirt to be the accessory and his hat the staple, Lol!!!

Can you see him?! ? ?

A: Too funny! Speaking of accessories…their duffle bags and backpacks are made of recycled billboards and were featured on Shark Tank. Plus, they have all of these fun compartments and zippers inside to keep your kiddo organized…so awesome!

?: Rachel Holden
He’ll never forget his backpack at school again!

J: I love organization the way Levi loves camo!!!!  I’m so going to add one to our Local 618 collection!

A: I couldn’t miss out on all of the fun, so I snagged a light weight, super cozy hoodie for myself! It’s so versatile as I could easily wear it with leggings for work (new readers…I own a martial arts studio so athletic wear is my work wear) or dress it up with a fun blazer and sneakers.

?: Rachel Holden

J: Love that look! You never cease to amaze me how you can transform ANY piece of clothing!!  Well, being the beach lover that I am, this mint green ‘Ocean Addict’ tee is beyond perfect for me! I wish it could actually propel me to the beach, lol!!

A: I could not agree more!

J: And these clothes seem to have magical powers too…who would have thought MY Levi would enjoy modeling so much…as you can tell, the boys (as well as us) had…

Griffin is right, these tees are super soft! Can’t get enough of the palm trees on my tee or this billboard turned duffle bag!

A & J: SO much fun!

We couldn’t agree more, Kelly! As women, it is so important to collaborate and raise one another up. It was a fun new challenge to add our boys to this mix and to see them excited about clothes, too! Thank you for the opportunity…you and Brandy are absolutely fabulous! ?
