Swap-n-Shop
A: Okay, so we thoroughly enjoy the whole Black Friday…
J: So…you sent me a pic of these crazy cool Express sequin pants and said we were doing a holiday special edition…you have never lied to me, but really sis??? You are really going to be able to style these in more than ONE way? You promised me a complete holiday party outfit circuit. Let’s see it!
A: No lie, I’ve got you covered!
The moto jacket and suede tennis shoes tone down the sequins, leaving me feeling comfy, but festive! The white tank is our standard Express go to.
Jenn always laughs when I say juxtapose, juxtaposed or juxtaposition! The concept is a big part of my personality…martial artist by day and fashionista by night ;). So, I dig the juxtaposition of this flannel blouse with the sequin and heels. Jay thinks I look hot, but I feel Cool!
They say a picture speaks a thousand words…in this case it’s created a thousand laughs! Hehehe. Thanks for the Ugly Sweater Von Maur! Silver heels add extra fun.
For the past few years, I have celebrated with my staff at, our favorite Mexican Hangout, La Fiesta! It’s a fairly casual restaurant so I chose earthy accessories to (Yes, Jenn) juxtapose the fancy pants and blazer! Charlotte Russe blazer (link to similar), Personal necklace, fossil watch and handmade leather bracelet from Beadworks by Sara Ross (like her page on facebook!) and simple black pumps.
I always look forward to this occasion! I chose a white blouse with some complimentary shimmer down the center paired with a simple black cardigan to keep warm! And a little arm candy never hurts (watch, bracelet).
This is the same look from my staff party, but I chose to dress it up with some hoops, a silver watch and cuff as well as pumps!
J: So, if I am brave enough to shine like the sun in these pants, do you have any advice for me? And if my booty isn’t ready to be a disco ball are there any less “risqué” options?
A: The pants alone are an accessory, so keep your jewelry simple and choose shoes in a sleek style such as pumps or simple black heeled boots. However, if you just aren’t ready to front as a disco ball…try a pretty top, blazer or even boots to work the trend! I have included a few looks below…
Rock a sequin blazer, emerald green shirt, and gray jeans for a look that’s festive.
Or let your feet do the sparkling! Pair a pair of sequin boots (thanks momma for sharing yours!) with some great jeggings, our Your Closet Wants Express sweater and a scarf for a sparkle perfect look.
Let your shirt be center stage with a center sequin striped top! Pair with jeggings and heels and you’re ready for the night!
J: Seriously sis, could you BE wearing any more clothes in this blog??
A: Hahaha. Yes ‘Joey,’ I could! In the last look, I would personally swap the cardigan for a moto jacket and the heels for otk boots!
J: I love you, you crazy clothes horse? So, did you have fun?
A: Always.

I love, love, love sparkles! I enjoyed seeing all the outfits you put together and you definitely gave me some ideas to put on this “older” body. Happy Holidays.
Thank you! Now your outer sparkle will match your inner sparkle! ?. Merry Christmas! ??
Some holiday sparkle is always festive and fun. Thanks for demonstrating how to work it in from head to toe….and I’m with you on the otk boots!
